Welcome to Episode 66 of The Madhappy Podcast. This week we are excited to welcome Victor Fontanez, also known as VicBlends, onto the show to learn more about how his work as a barber has positively affected the mental health of both himself and his community.

We kick things off as Victor shares how and why he decided to cut hair (2:21), before Peiman asks Vic about the transition from cutting his friends' hair to building a large social media presence based around barbering and community building (7:51).

The two talk about the tough realities that came into the mix during the pandemic (10:31) and Vic opens up about wanting to use his voice and platform to give back, creating a blueprint for children in his community to use to find monetary success and personal fulfillment (16:07).

Vic shares his inspiration behind starting the first barber school inside a California State prison (21:00), before the two wrap up with a conversation about Vic’s role models and his goals for the future (23:58).
