This week we announced our newest release, the STAR Program. With everything we create, we aim to tell a larger story. We want to make the highest quality clothes while having impactful messages and meaningful designs. With STAR, we wanted to take the things that we have learned and the principles by which we live our lives - and share them with our community.
Anyone who follows us knows that mental health is something we place a huge emphasis on. Mental health is a big part of all of our lives - whether we know it or not. Whether you are struggling with a mental health issue or not, the STAR program applies to us all. Even the happiest people in the world feel sad sometimes. We all have things happen that cause us emotional distress and need to process them.
Our intention with STAR is to provide an elementary way to learn how to process things and communicate with each other about the challenges we are facing. It all starts with sharing - if we don’t share what is going on, we will never be able to lower the distress that it is causing us.
From my experience, beginning to talk about something is usually one of the hardest steps. Admitting to both yourself and others that you are struggling and need help. If you take anything away from reading this post, let it be this: Asking for help is an example of bravery and is a trait that will change your life for the better. From there it becomes about accepting and reflecting. Understand that there is nothing wrong with you for struggling, accept that and believe it. Accept that asking for help does not make you weak. Accept that vulnerability is a sign of bravery. Through releases like this, we hope to both educate and inspire people by sharing our experiences and the way we try and live.
